FAQ
What type of filtration does TheWell use / what kinds of particles does TheWell remove?
TheWell uses a 4-stage filtration system:
TheWell 2 features an advanced filtration system designed to remove a wide range of contaminants, including arsenic, barium, cadmium, chromium, copper, fluoride, lead, radium, selenium, viruses, bacteria, hormones, pesticides, pharmaceutical traces, PFAS and microplastics. It consists of:
- A 1-Micron Sediment Filter: Removes larger particles to protect the reverse osmosis membrane, maximizing its efficiency and lifespan.
- An activated Carbon Filter: Effectively removes chlorine and other compounds responsible for bad taste and odor.
- A Reverse Osmosis Membrane: A highly efficient filter that eliminates even the smallest harmful particles.
- A Post-RO UV Filter: Ensures bacteria from external sources, like contact with the spout, cannot recontaminate the water.
Why are minerals essential in water and what is LANGWATER mineral composition ?
1) BALANCED WATER: Minerals make you water balanced
Truly pure RO water tastes flat, even acidic and is not good to drink in large quantities.
Indeed because advanced filtration removes everything, the water is stripped of minerals too.
That’s why it’s essential to add back healthy minerals to ensure premium drinking water.
LANGWATER remineralisation also ensures:
- balanced, slightly alkaline water
- a pH of around 7.8
- an optimal TDS of approximately 250, thanks to these beneficial minerals.
2) TASTE: minerals are essential to make your purified water taste great
Minerals shape water taste, which is why our remineralization formula was created with our water sommelier. It adds back the right minerals to deliver great-tasting water.
And TheWell 2 even lets you adjust dosing thanks to our patented liquid delivery.
3) LANGWATER mineral composition
LANGWATER uses the LANGPAK patented liquid delivery system that ensures precise, constant and even adjustable mineral level.
Unlike other, we've perfected the mineral distribution to avoid having variable mineral level depending on time spent in filters etc.
- The minerals liquid form mix instantly with the filtered water, no stirring or waiting for powder to dissolve
- The pharmaceutical micro-pump together with sensors enable precising dosing whatever the flow-rate
Our proprietary technology also ensures a precise dose of minerals is infused into every serving, guaranteeing that the fresh taste of LANGWATER stays the same, from the first drop to the last - even after 200 litres.
You always get the same level of minerals, just like mineral water, the mineral composition is constant.
On standard settings, one set of minerals will enable you to produce 250 liters of water, containing (per liter):
- 16.3 mg Calcium
- 142 mg Potassium
- 4mg Magnesium
- No Sodium
Our LANGPAKs are produced in Switzerland using natural ingredients and contain no sodium, as most diets already have excessive levels of salt.
Features and Functionality:
Does the machine require a water connection?
The machine only needs to be plugged in and set up via the touchscreen instructions. No connection to water pipes or a drain is needed.
The machine works as a closed system: you manually fill the tap water jar, select your drink, and the water circulates through the filters, remineralisation and flavour system into the clean water jar. Any water rejected by the reverse osmosis membrane is recirculated back into the tap water jar.
How often do the filters need to be changed?
When new filters are inserted in TheWell 2, they need to be filled and rinsed before they can be used to process water.Since TheWell 2 comes with new filters, this filter change procedure is required to set it up and takes about 25 minutes. The procedure is automated, but it requires that the user be available to fill the Tap Water Jar with clean water and empty the Clean water container when it is full. This will be required several times during the procedure.
The duration of the filters depends on the amount of water processed.LANG recommends to change filter 1 every 1500 liters or every 12 months (whichever comes first) and filter 2 every 3000 liters or every 24 months (whichever comes first).TheWell 2 will warn automatically when one or both filters are due for replacement. Here the procedureIf your machine is warning to change the filters before the above condition, the problem is due to an incorrect date being entered during installation of the device. The problem can be solved by changing the filters as shown in the attachment, using the filters in your possession. This will update the date to the current date.if the problem is not resolved please contact : customersupport@drinklang.com
How many liters with one Set of Langpaks?
On standard settings, one set of LANGWATER minerals (A + B) will produce approximately 250 liters of mineralized water.
